What We Buy

When you bring us your items in person, or if you are a business, have registered with us, and you bring in or send your items to Cascade Refining, we first must evaluate the items.

This includes a visual inspection, a magnet test, a specific gravity, and/or an XRF test. Once we have evaluated your items we will provide you with an estimate.

If you are happy with the estimate, we test the items further to ensure that they are what they seemed to be during the initial evaluation. Once everything is tested and proven to be made of a precious metal, we pay you for your items.

The average transaction takes between 10 and 20 minutes from start to finish. If you are not a business or a legal representative of a business in the precious metals industry, do not send your items to us, you must bring them to us in person.

The state requires you must present us with a state issued photo ID such as a driver’s license or a passport.
